GTA 6 could launch early as internet developers believe that the game has almost reached its completion stage. Also, this is said to be in line with how Rockstar plans its release. So is Rockstar’s next biggest game, the Grand Theft Auto VI releasing in 2023? Let’s see.

GTA 6 could get announced earlier than expected

If you are a GTA fanatic, you’d be knowing that Rockstar faced a massive leak last year. More than 90 screenshots and videos of the supposed GTA 6 and its builds were leaked online. While some believed this leak to be fake, others thought it could be the real deal due to the build numbers.

Interestingly, Rockstar itself acknowledged the leak and also got the leaker arrested. While Rockstar erased most of the game content online, it left several traces for fanatics and developers to anticipate.

Now, a GTA news account on Twitter has shared a few screenshots that show how GTA 6 is nearing its release. Apparently, in a discord group, a few GTA fans and developers believe that Rockstar is polishing the game.

The leaked GTA 6 builds had the naming “game_win64_beta.exe” and “game_win64_debug.exe”. The “bankrelease” builds are believed to builds to debug the game. Following this build, the game is said to reach “feature complete” stage, where the UI functionality will be addressed.

Then, the game will reach “content complete” stage, where all the game functions will be complete and it will be playable. After all that, the game will be polished and finished making it reach the final stage.

Since the game is said to finish the “bankrelease” stage, the announcement of the game could be way near. Also, this meets the behavior of Rockstar which launches the game two years before its final said stage.

With all that said, if not the game, we might see something about the upcoming GTA 6 this year, perhaps a teaser.
